IMPORTANT: The future of Camp Arcadia, a necessary change

To my community and supporters,

I’m writing this personal update because I’ve reached a breaking point. As many of you know, being the sole creator behind Hael Games and developing the Camp Arcadia visual novel has been a journey of immense passion, but also one of exhausting challenges for an independent game developer.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the current landscape of the yaoi visual novel game market: the growing hypocrisy surrounding fictional content, the tightening of platform regulations, and an increasingly uncertain legal future for the yaoi games genre. The pressure of creating something "bold" in a world that demands sanitized, corporate perfection has become unsustainable for me as a solo dev.

Beyond the moral exhaustion, there is the financial reality. The effort and personal resources I pour into this BL visual novel simply aren't being met with enough revenue to keep pushing against the grain. I can't keep fighting a battle that feels rigged against creators like me.

Therefore, I have made the decision to pivot. Starting today, Camp Arcadia is officially going 100% SFW (Safe For Work).

I am stripping away every "problematic" theme, every spicy scene, and every bit of content that could be criticized or flagged as a yaoi game by mainstream stores. I am moving toward a vision that is pure, white, and clean. My goal is to create a wholesome camp experience that is beyond reproach, a project that fits perfectly into the most conservative standards.

A New Direction: Safe and Traditional Values

To reflect this new path, I am rebranding the game. Instead of the original narrative, you will play as the state’s most dedicated camp counselor, focusing on transmitting traditional values. No more gay visual novel elements; just pure, spiritual growth.

Global Accessibility and Monetization

By removing all mature content and BL elements, I can finally bring my work to the mainstream mobile market:

• Platform Launch: Coming soon to Google Play Store, the Apple App Store, and Steam (with a "Family Friendly" rating).
• New Monetization: To ensure the survival of Hael Games, I’m implementing an ad-supported model.

I know this is a radical shift for the Camp Arcadia game, but in today’s world, it feels like the only "safe" way forward for me as a creator.
