A New Year for Camp Arcadia - BL Visual Novel
A New Year’s update on Camp Arcadia, a yaoi / BL visual novel game. A look back at a year of growth, new systems, animated rewards, community support, and plans for 2026 within the Haelverse.
As the year comes to an end, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on everything that has happened with Camp Arcadia, the ongoing yaoi / BL visual novel game project, and the wider Haelverse.
This year has been one of growth, improvement, and important decisions.
We’ve seen more updates, better scenes, improved writing, a clearer visual style, and stronger storytelling across routes. Camp Arcadia has evolved not just as a BL visual novel, but as a more complete, polished experience. One of the biggest technical milestones was the introduction of animated video rewards and ingame scenes, adding a new layer of immersion to the game and its extra content.
It has also been a year of learning.
From development workflows to UI and system design, from narrative pacing to streaming more regularly, every step has pushed the project forward.
Not everything was easy, though.
This year included a second suspension on Fanbox, a moment that came with a lot of uncertainty, fear, and doubt. That situation ultimately pushed me to take a big leap: creating my own platform. The website you’re reading this on was born out of that moment. At first, it was scary, but looking back now, it’s clear it was the right decision.
Seeing both fans and myself genuinely happy with this new space, with the freedom it allows and the direction it’s taken, has been incredibly rewarding.
Since launching the site, it has continued to improve steadily. One highlight is the Characters page, which now offers deeper information and background for characters from Camp Arcadia, The Tabletop Boys, and original Haelverse characters like Charlie, Damian, Ollie, and Tian. Giving these characters more room to breathe and exist beyond individual scenes has been something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
Another important addition is the Campfire Exchange points system.
With every monthly renewal, supporters earn points that can be exchanged for rewards. This creates a fairer system for everyone, regardless of tier. On top of that, there’s the option to purchase additional packs to gain more points, offering a flexible way to support the project further.
That support is truly invaluable.
It allows me to dedicate a significant amount of time every day to developing this BL / yaoi visual novel, improving content, and planning what comes next.
Most importantly, this year brought new supporters, new friends, and familiar names who have stayed along the way. Whether you’re supporting now, have supported in the past, or are simply following the journey, thank you. Every kind word, message, and contribution has helped keep this project alive.
As a token of appreciation, this New Year’s rewards are two, and both are public.

Looking ahead to 2026, I’m full of plans and determination. One of the main goals is clear: finishing Camp Arcadia and continuing to deliver the best possible yaoi / BL visual novel content, with care, consistency, and passion.
